So, tonight I lost my phone.
Not just misplaced-it-somewhere-in-the-house lost. My phone had fallen out of my pocket in someone’s car.
Awesome.
The good news was that I could see where it was. The bad news was that I had absolutely no way to contact the person.
So naturally, instead of accepting defeat, I downloaded an Android phone emulator on my Mac.
Because apparently that’s the kind of problem-solving we’re doing now.
I got everything set up, managed to contact him, and asked if he could check his car.
Next thing I know, he says:
“Yup, I’m on my way with it!”
And just like that, the Great Lost Phone Crisis of 2026 was over.
Honestly, the whole thing was stressful as fuck at the time. But now that it’s over, it’s kind of funny that losing my iPhone resulted in me downloading an entire Android emulator just to get it back.
Technology is weird.
Tonight was weird.
But I have my phone back.
So I think I’m going to relax, eat some crackers, and call that a successful ending to a very unnecessary crisis.
